The Collection Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the activities of a team of collection specialists. The primary goal of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective collection of outstanding debts owed to Guardian for all customer types. Utilize operating systems to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines. Evaluate performance metrics through appropriate action such as coaching, mentoring, training, and corrective action to successfully resolve concerns regarding employee performance and adherence to company policies. What’s In It For You: Attractive compensation package Comprehensive benefit package starting day 1 Opportunity to grow within the company The chance to be part of a Top 10 company and high-energy employee culture What You'll Be Doing Provide guidance, support, and training to team members Monitor the performance of collection agents through regular review of key metrics and reports Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize dept recovery Generate and analyze reports to track the progress of collection efforts Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement in the collection process First level to address escalated collection calls Assist in negotiating payment arrangements or settlements with customers when necessary Build and maintain positive relationships with national/commercial account representatives and key stakeholders. Collaborate with sales and account management teams to address and resolve customer issues related to collections. What You'll Need: Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot tables) 3 years’ experience as call center supervisor or similar equivalent experience and/or successful completion of career progression plus demonstration of necessary leadership, experience, knowledge, and results Collection experience is preferred, and knowledge of the Fair Debt Collections Act is beneficial Thorough understanding of company and departmental policies, procedures, products, and resources Adaptable and supportive of change Able to work independently and as a team member to achieve team and company goals Able to manage projects, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines Strong problem solving and organizational skills Ability to work flexible schedules at times (evenings, weekends, holidays) Commercial and National collection experience Who We Are The Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
