Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MALE Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. We are in an occupational health setting, working with working men and women, firefighters, truckers, and hard working Americans. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff. This is a full-time position in a hospital setting.

Duties:
- Perform patient service duties, including greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls.
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of healthcare professionals including drug screens, PFTS, Audiogram, Phlebotomy, EKG, Xray, etc
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide medical administrative support, including maintaining patient records and updating medical histories.
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes.
- Perform basic life support techniques when necessary.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy.
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus.
- Basic life support certification is required.

Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record patient information.
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks, including electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy towards patients.
