Guardian Law is Hiring a Legal Assistant Near Utah, UT
- Support internal litigation counsel in all stages of litigation.
- Assist with the factual development and analysis of cases, including talking with the relevant business people, gathering and reviewing documents, and creating timelines.
- Manage the discovery process, including collecting, retaining, and producing documents, drafting written responses to discovery, and setting up and maintaining document review platforms.
- Draft basic legal documents, including document retention notices and response letters, and prepare court documents for filing.
- File court documents.
- Communicate with opposing parties.
- Maintain the case file and litigation calendar and monitor case dockets.
- 2 years of relevant experience handing litigation matters.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- In-house and/or top-tier law firm experience preferred.
- Understanding of litigation motion practice, discovery, arbitration, trial, and appellate procedure.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and fact-finding skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of matters, work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and oversee multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with a goal-oriented focus as well as flexibility to take on new areas of responsibilities.
