Guardian Industries is Hiring a Controls Engineer Near Morehead, KY

SRG Global is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team in Morehead, KY!

In this role, you will support Plant Operations by troubleshooting, developing and managing equipment to meet safety, quality and productivity targets. This technical leadership position will lead problem solving, drive change, promote innovation, sustain equipment performance and create a positive shop floor culture. You will partner with engineering on new product launches, diagnose complex machine issues with maintenance, and take on new projects that advance operations.

What You Will Do

  • Continuous process optimization
  • Advanced robot programming including DCS, Fanuc
  • Robotic mechanical and electrical testing and trouble shooting
  • Support maintenance team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures
  • Project management: both internal maintenance projects, and major contractor projects
  • Develop procedures and maintain proper documentation related to robotics systems
  • Design processes and prototypes to build machines
  • Conduct research to determine the parameters of a robotic application
  • Design robotic systems from start to finish
  • Develop and implement robotic control software
  • Develop cost-effective and efficient processes to produce the machines
  • Perform integration tests and quality control
  • Apply machine learning techniques
  • Create complete documentation for robotic systems
  • Monitor the use of robotic systems and optimize their functionality

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience with robots (Fanuc preferred)
  • Advanced robot programming experience including DCS, Fanuc
  • Robotic mechanical and electrical trouble shooting skills
  • Experience designing robotic systems from start to finish

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding, plating, painting, or assembly
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/ industrial setting
