Key Responsibilities:
- Third Party Administrator (TPA) accounting - responsible for the direct and reinsurance accounting and reporting for multiple TPAs across several lines of business.
- Contract review ensure all accounting and regulatory items are implemented and followed with various TPA agreements and reinsurance treaties.
- Mortgage Investment accounting - record entries, prepare financial reports, and settle activity for all mortgage investments.
- Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Perform financial statement analysis as part of the monthly close.
- Preparation and analysis of schedules for Annual Statements and audits.
- Partner and collaborate with other departments (IT, Actuarial, Legal).
Education and Skills:
- Bachelors degree required, Accounting or Finance major preferred.
- 2-3 years work experience.
- Microsoft skills Word, Excel, Access.
- Experience with ERP systems for accounting PeopleSoft experience a plus.
