Supervises and guides building and facilities maintenance staff. Plans, prioritizes and tracks progress on machinery repairs, upgrades, and installations. Contracts and coordinates outside contractors as needed.

• Supervises and guides maintenance, electrician and toolroom staff.
• Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc.
• Researches production/processing equipment or fixtures for purchase and gathers data relating to their ability to meet organizational needs.
• Ensures that established efficiency and safety targets are met.
• Oversees installation, inspections, repairs, trouble shooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, and facility equipment.
• Responsible for keeping buildings and facilities in good status to comply with environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining preventive maintenance for machinery and facilities.
• Maintains documentation of all machinery and upkeep of all maintenance records.
• Develops and monitors work order system which includes projects, down machines and pms. Goal of the system is to identify clear priorities to enable self-direction of maintenance employees.
• Supports Manufacturing Operations in an engineering capacity for assigned areas.
• Must be able to fulfill any and all customer requirements associated with the position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 3-5 years of experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience with facilities maintenance.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. JB Mainsaver experience is a plus.
• Strong managerial skills with ability to interface with senior management.
• Display independent judgment and initiative.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Standing and walking up to 80% of work time.
• Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions.
