Position: Project Manager

GST Construction is seeking a Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of structural and miscellaneous steel projects within on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project completion plan based on turnover meetings with sales team and review of drawings and specifications
• Update and maintain all contract drawings, submittal drawings, RFIs and Change Orders in our Project Management Portal
• Work with other departments at GST to ensure that project is timely, safely and accurately fabricated and delivered to jobsite
• Work with Controller for monthly progress billing submittals
• Frequent travel/long hours required

Basic Qualifications

• Five (5) years prior experience in construction Project Management
• Must have the ability to analize complex drawings and specifications
• Be knowledgable in all aspects of structural steel fabrication and installation standards and procedures
• Proven work history on steel and structural steel projects
• Must have experience in developing schedules and construction sequencing to ensure job productivity and profitablity
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and promote a teamwork approach with the general contractors that we work for
• Must set jobsite expectations (hours worked, daily progress milestones and allocated hours for completion) for each site crew
• Proven ability to motivate construction personnel to achieve budgetary goals
• Work weekends and overtime as required
• Must be proficient at Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Must have a valid drivers licence

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance for the employee with small employee contribution, 401K with company match, life insurance, disability insurance, paid holidays and paid time off are accrued in accordance with the vesting procedures set forth in the company handbook.
