• Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents
• Control medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment and inventory as required by established procedures
• Observe and record inmate/resident behavior
• Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures
• Inspect the medical unit for items that could be used as contraband by inmates/residents; securely store or safely dispose of supplies and equipment
• Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
• Escort inmates/residents or coordinate the movement of inmates/residents to and from different areas for medical treatment
• Foster a caring environment that respects patient's dignity
• Maintain a high quality of nursing care for individuals with psychiatric and mental health illnesses

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $42.00 - $46.00 per hour
