WAGO Corporation is seeking a Product Training Engineer for WAGO Corporation to promote the successful application of WAGO's Automation products to WAGO employees, its distributors, and customers by providing high quality technical training. The overall job duties for the Product Training Engineer will include creation and presentation of the product and sales training program. Experience Required: Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university. Minimum 3 years recent work experience in engineering and/or training in the automation industry. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Programming experience in C, Ladder Logic, or Structured Text preferred.Familiarity with Cloud Services, IIOT, Node-Red, and JSON preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:Lead or participate in all aspects of training WAGO customers, distributors, and internal staff on WAGO Automation components and software.Travel to customer or distributor locations to lead remote training programs.Collaborate with existing training department to establish consistent and repeatable learning outcomes.Create and maintain product training media (e.g. training manuals, tutorial videos, etc.) and hardware for the Automation product groups.Develop and implement training programs to help reach/meet corporate sales objectives (i.e. increase product, industry/application, competitive, and sales knowledge/skills).Work with Regional Sales Managers (RSM), Field Application Engineers (FAE) and Distributor Manager to determine product and application training needs.Actively work with product management to stay current on new product development, integrate new products into the training department, as well as provide feedback to the product management group.Stay current on product, industry, and competition by coordinating with internal resources (Product Management, Sales Management, Industry Management), as well as external resources (trade shows, seminars, etc.).Once training programs are established, will be responsible for updating, presenting, and evaluating the effectiveness of various training programs.Assist in the research and implementation of new ways for communicating and delivering our training programs in the field.Must have good organizational, oral, written and communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills.Must work well independently or in a group. Occasional travel will be required to provide training, technical sales support, and/or assistance at trade shows as directed. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by automobile or airplane. Travel may be up to 40% annually, based on company needs.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
