Full job description:

The Warehouse Clerk & Driver position verifies and updates the system on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment to quality and productivity standards. This individual will work directly under and report to the Warehouse Manager. The position will require you to perform inventory counts, maintain stock on the warehouse's shelves at all times, add and maintain SKU management and inventory control in QuickBooks, attend walk-in customers, perform quality control, and ensure all outgoing shipments are processed promptly. This individual will execute our daily deliveries, do inventory checks on our products at the customer store level, and act as a brand ambassador in front of the customer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lifting of various boxes of different weights
• Operates fork lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
• Load and unload cargo from trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks.
• Builds and packs all outgoing orders.
• Unpacks examines and routes incoming shipments, reports rejected & damaged items, and records shortages; you're required to address shipping issues directly with vendors.
• Receives and processes all defective returns or guaranteed product returns for replacement or credit.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Attend Walk-Ins
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's sales order.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area, company vehicle(s), and company equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, including shelves, floor, checkout, and bathroom.
• Required to make deliveries and pick-ups in the Tri-County area to our customers and take inventory of products as a brand ambassador using a company van.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record – NO CDL REQUIRED
• Must be at least 25 years of age for vehicle insurance purposes.
• Experience driving various types of vehicles such as forklifts, Vans, and Box Trucks.
• Proficient in loading/unloading techniques and use of equipment like forklifts or hand trucks.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Windows software.
• Experience on some ERP/ SRP or Shipping Manager / Inventory Management software system.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
• Must speak English; Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• High School or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.

Hours of Operation:

• Mon Thru Fri: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekends: May be required with prior notice

Pay Range:

• $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
