GRW Engineers is Hiring a Survey Technician Near Lexington, KY

Join an expert staff of registered professional engineers, architects, surveyors, geodesists, cartographers, and data programmers skilled in all aspects of engineering, surveying, aerial photography, mapping & GIS projects. GRW Aerial Surveys, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Survey Technician in Kentucky.

The Survey Technician will be responsible for determining precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, map making, land division, titles, or other purposes.

Experience, skills, and qualifications should include:

  • Work closely with Survey Crew Chief in the completion of field surveying tasks
  • Ability to work outside in a wide variety of weather and terrain conditions
  • Ability to carry survey gear and lift heavy objects such as manholes and grates
  • Boundary, topographic, utility and route location surveying experience preferred
  • Knowledge of GPS, CADD and terrestrial scanning technologies, methods, and software a plus
  • Experience with Trimble surveying equipment a plus
  • Valid driver's license and travel required
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screenings
