Summary/Objective

Direct to Film Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the DTF Printer. Examines documents to prepare prior to folding all while providing quality assurance throughout any project in process. The Direct to Film Operator Operator supports the Direct to Film Thermal Press Operator during daily responsibilities and must have the ability to read and understand production work order. Must have good judgment to perform complicated tasks and work without constant supervision. Other important traits include self-motivation, organizational skills and the ability to work with a team. 

Essential Functions

1. Safety - Ensure safe and appropriate use of equipment, thermal presses, and cutting tools.
2. Project Management -Ensure that the quality of all projects is being processed within the standards set forth by Grunt Style.
3. Report any discrepancies of material counts and or quality of work to Senior Ops Manager Team Leader. 
4. Maintenance - Ensure that maintenance of equipment is followed during each shift. Cleanliness of equipment and work stations must be met during normal business hours. 
5. Quality Control - Provide consistent and accurate quality assurance in designated areas of production. Ensuring that counts for each box packed are correct.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of factory-related experience 

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous work experience no needed for this position
• Better than average written and spoken communication skills
• Excellent hand and eye coordination
• Ability to read project folders

Supervisory Responsibility

No - Screen printers are encouraged to take ownership of their work stations and assistants

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Direct To Film Print Operator must show caution when working on or around moving mechanical parts/machines, hoodie folders, pallets, packaged goods. The Direct To Film Print Operator is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the warehouse; warm weather can increase temperatures in the workplace. Noise levels are high due to machinery, dryers, music and personnel. 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stand for up to 8 hours; kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Sunday night from 11:00p.m through Friday night, 11:00p.m. 40 hours per week. 

Travel 

 No travel is expected for this position.
