Overview

This role is a part-time internship role, with an expected minumum of 10 hours worked per week.

The rate of pay will be $20/hr.

The Project Intern, Maine function is to collect and analyze research, data and information from internal and external sources and recommend pathways to utilize this information to enhance the staff and member experience. This position will report to the Regional Vice President, Care Delivery.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

    To further the work of the Maine Tobacco Demonstration project which goals include: to assess Groups current tobacco cessation efforts, identify related data and explore culture norms; create a collaborative plan to incorporate best-practice tobacco cessation into Groups treatment model; execute a pilot plan to test recommended changes.
  • To research and compile data on the link between tobacco and Opioid Use Disorder.
  • To research and compile data on best practice approaches to co-cessation of tobacco products and opioids.
  • To review and assess current Groups' practices around tobacco treatment and compile recommendations for future changes.
  • To participate in meetings with Groups and State partner staff as we further develop a collaborative relationship.
  • Participate in producing a final report to State grant partners.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advance use of computer programs word, excel and google platform.
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize research, data and information.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • In progress of working on a Bachelors' or Masters' degree from an accredited college in a related field.
  • Access to reliable internet and telephone services, specifically 10M download and 5M upload packages or higher as well as a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.
  • Must meet pre-employment requirements and maintain all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening. Depending on state-specific requirements, this may include fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening, CPR/Basic First Aid and license/credential verifications.
