Overview

This is a hybrid position. We are seeking a candiadte who will be working primarily in-office, with the option to work remotely on a regular basis.

Our model uses two of the most powerful tools for recovery: group therapy and medication-assisted treatment. Our approach takes the best parts of AA (accountability and community) and combines them with the latest medical science and technology.

Responsibilities

At Groups, the Associate Staff Accountant will work with multiple CPAs to help solve problems as we scale, strengthen internal controls and increase integrity and accuracy of our financial statements. We are searching for a dynamic contributor to our team who can roll up their sleeves and provide superior customer service to our internal partners. This role will assist our Accounting team in multiple areas such as Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger Support. This role reports to VP, Controller and will require some in-office presence at our Burlington, MA location with work from home time determined by the candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Help update demographics of our employees in payroll system
• Assist employees with the payroll related questions
• Assist the Payroll Manager with allocation reporting
• Process HSA funding
• Assist Accounting with employee benefits such as Professional Development and Telecommunication benefits
• Assist with Accounts Payable including vendor management, debit card review etc
• Update a variety of data sources, excel, google sheets etc
• Assist with the cash posting process
• Ensure the integrity of the General Ledger
• Document various accounting processes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational Requirements & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance 
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Self-starter
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
