Position: Program Manager (Managing Analyst) (Data Science, Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis)

Location: Alexandria, VA

Overview:

Group W (a 100% employee-owned company) is seeking a resourceful Program Manager/Managing Analyst to lead a team of highly skilled analysts in both program and project management for our Department of Defense (DoD) customer.

As part of a small, egalitarian team the successful candidate will wear multiple hats, voice their opinions confidently, and ingest critical feedback with self-correcting humility. An eagerness to acquire new knowledge and undertake broader duties is integral to success at Group W.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Top secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, or data-science related discipline from an accredited university
• 5 year's organizational project management experience managing the application of analytic techniques to solve operational or policy implementation-based problems
• 5 years' experience designing and executing data analytics, including requirements gathering, tool and method selection, and dataset identification for recurring and novel analytic questions
• Demonstrated experience delivering data analytics products using advanced statistics, mathematics, data/database engineering, machine learning, and/or visualization
• Programming experience with Python, R, or other programming languages suitable for managing and analyzing large datasets
• Ability to interface with clients

Preferred:

• Master's degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, or data-science related discipline from an accredited university
• 8 years' project management experience in OSD, Joint Staff, or similar corporate
• 5 years' experience operating within government organizations
• Familiarity with the broad scope of the DoD Data Enterprise

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manages a team of analysts to support contract execution and administration
• Acts as a single point of contact with Government and Contractor personnel
• Applies data science and operations research analysis in support of the team and customer
• Assists in solving challenging problems using data analytics, wargaming, and/or modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A)

Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 (Provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
