Are you an experienced and visionary leader with a passion for making a meaningful impact in the recovery community? The Recovery Center of Medina County is seeking an exceptional Executive Director to lead and shape our nonprofit organization in partnership with Sérénité Restaurant and Culinary Institute. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, empower individuals on their journey to recovery and reintegration, and secure essential funding through grant writing and fundraising efforts.

Position Overview:
As the Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in charting the course of The Recovery Center of Medina County. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and executing strategic plans, establishing and upholding organizational policies, nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders, spearheading the attainment of our overarching goals, and leading grant writing and fundraising activities. Collaborating closely with the board of directors, you will oversee the realization of the recovery center's mission and objectives.

Work Schedule: M-F 8:30 am-5pm Saturday / Sunday

Compensation:

$55,000 - $70,000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth and success of the recovery center.
  • Provide effective leadership and management to achieve operational excellence and uphold the organization's values.
  • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, fostering a supportive and engaged community.
  • Oversee the alignment of activities with the recovery center's mission, ensuring the delivery of impactful services.
  • Collaborate with Sérénité Restaurant and Culinary Institute to facilitate vocational training and re-entry into the workforce for individuals in the recovery community.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team, promoting a culture of inclusivity, growth, and accountability.
  • Utilize strong grant writing skills to secure funding from various sources, enabling the sustainability and expansion of programs.
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to diversify revenue streams and support the organization's financial health.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of successful leadership experience
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum of two (2) years experience in supervising and management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information concisely
  • Commitment to results with a ”can-do" mindset with an emphasis on accountability
  • Requires the ability to travel / Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid driver’s license, required automobile insurance, and the ability to safely and independently operate said vehicle
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a nonprofit or social services setting
  • Strong strategic planning and implementation skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving challenges
  • Exceptional communication abilities, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders and fostering partnerships
  • Passion for supporting individuals in their recovery journey and helping them gain employment skills
  • Familiarity with the culinary and hospitality industries is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in grant writing, fundraising, or resource development

Sérénité serves French Cuisine, using only the finest and freshest ingredients, prepared to perfection by Chef Todd Whitman and his staff.

The Sérénité Restaurant & Culinary Institute launched in the spring of 2018. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit working in conjunction with the Recovery Center of Medina County and open to anyone in the recovery community.

Sérénité provides culinary training over the course of a six-month program. Students are paid to attend and have full access to all of the Recovery Center of Medina County’s programming, case management, and support systems.

Sérénité helps to change the face of recovery by providing essential on-the-job training for students and generates revenue to support the recovery center, supplementing the cost of education.
