Overview

Sterling McCall Chevrolet is currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Used Vehicle Inventory Manager. Sterling McCall Chevrolet is part of the fast growing Group 1 Automotive, a leader in automotive retail and service. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for inventory related aspects of our used vehicle operations, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and quality. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the entire process of preparing used vehicles for retail and wholesale, ensuring optimal efficiency and profitability.

- Manage the detailed processes of vehicle detailing, photography, and mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning.

- Coordinate with transporters for the timely arrival and dispatch of inventory.

- Ensure that all vehicles are brought to retail-ready condition promptly.

- Oversee wholesale disposals, maximizing cash flow.

- Implement and manage effective processes to enhance operational efficiency.

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to align with sales and business objectives.

- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations.

 - Assist in developing and documenting improved processes as change management occurs

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.

- Strong process management skills and a meticulous approach to detail-oriented tasks.

- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

- No direct involvement in the retail sales process but must have an understanding of the overall dealership operations.

- Basic knowledge of software and IT systems such as the Microsoft Office, Inventory Management systems, and Dealership Management Systems a plus
