Groundup Solar & Electrical LLC is Hiring a Solar Technician Near Covington, LA

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panel systems. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in electrical systems and construction.

Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels on rooftops and other structures following safety guidelines and industry standards
- Perform electrical wiring connections for solar panel systems
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with existing solar panel systems
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Experience working with roof installations
- Proficient in electrical work and wiring connections
- Knowledge of plumbing for water heating systems (solar thermal)
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience operating a forklift (preferred)
- Commercial electrician experience (preferred)
