Grounded Electrical Construction is Hiring a Warehouse Manager Near Columbia, MD
GEC is looking for a dedicated, hardworking drug free Warehouse Manager to add to our growing construction team. This position is perfect for someone who doesn’t want to be in the field anymore.
The perfect candidate must be familiar with the electrical trade, general computer knowledge & proficient in:
Warehousing:
- Accept deliveries from vendors - check, inspect, and count materials for accuracy against the packing slip - note any discrepancies or damaged goods - mark or refuse accordingly.
- Upon receiving freight- label with job name, number & description.
- Maintain accurate vendor delivery logs.
- Wear appropriate safety protective equipment while working in warehouse.
- Restock or pull inventory to be delivered to & from job sites.
Tool Tracking and Maintenance:
- Knowledge of tools & materials for our trade.
- Maintain listing of tools & what job sites they are on(track tools).
- Inspect & repair/clean (or send out to be repaired) tools returned from the field properly.
- Number and Label new tools when purchased.
Prefabrication:
- Assist in training of our 1st year apprentices, who are learning out trade before they go into the field.
