Gronen is a full-service community centered, development, construction, brokerage and property management company who is experiencing growth across all of its divisions. Gronen is seeking individuals to join our painting team. Gronen is a leader in historic rehabilitation and new construction.

SUMMARY Maintains residential and commercial properties by providing interior and exterior painting and finishes. New construction and historic painting may also be included in job duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepares work to be processed by reviewing work requests; resolving questions; prioritizing projects
• Prepares surfaces by scraping, spackling, filling cracks and holes
• Maintains safe work procedures by erecting scaffolds, ladders, and safety barriers according to prescribed protocols
• Protects equipment, furniture, and floors by placing drop cloths
• Completes requisitions by performing interior and exterior painting, decorating work, and finishing according to requirements
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance
• Documents time by job
• Enhances facilities and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and have knowledge of related tools, painting techniques, equipment, and materials. Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of surfaces. Drywall experience is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Basic knowledge of tools. Motivated to learn and be trained.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, tenants and residents of the organization.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver's License, ability to pass a background check, and drug test.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
