Position Title: Market Manager

Job Description:

The Market Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team, working with the National Director of Sales and Distribution to create and execute sales strategies that drive growth and meet revenue targets. The successful candidate will have experience managing a team of sales representatives, a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, and a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure sales targets are met
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the cannabis industry
  • Collaborate with the National Director of Sales and Distribution to develop and implement pricing strategies, promotions, and other initiatives to drive revenue growth
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to reconcile and manage accounts receivable
  • Support the Distribution Manager and entire Distribution team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products to customers
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and inform sales strategies
  • Ability to travel at minimum 50% of the work week, with own reliable vehicle - company will reimburse mileage

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years of experience managing a team of sales representatives
  • Minimum 5 year professional driving experience and a clean driving record
  • Experience in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, or healthcare
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of sales metrics and how to use data to inform decision-making
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel at minimum 80% of the work week, with own reliable vehicle - company will reimburse mileage

Work environment:

This job requires 80% of time on the road travelling between clients. Meeting with current and potential customers. Also required to visit all dispensaries carrying Grön product to ensure adequate inventory levels and maintain working relationships. Subject to regular DMV Motor Vehicle Records checks for insurance purposes.

Physical demands:

Sitting for prolonged periods of time while travelling or working from desk based office environment. Ability to lift 15-30lbs occasionally. Ability to use hands for building/assembling marketing materials

Compensation:

This position starts at $100,000/year base salary commission bonus plan (shared during interview)
