ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inspections on designated incoming stock items, complete and file related forms.
• Reject non-conforming materials according to written procedures.
• Perform inspections at mandatory hold points.
• Verify dimensional correctness and quality of workmanship of product.
• Obtain/maintain necessary documentation (quality documents, product design drawings, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Skills: General knowledge of Quality Processes; ability to read and understand drawings; ability to use measuring tools e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gages, etc. Understanding of both English/Metric Measuring systems; Basic computer and software skills.
• Equipment Used: Measuring tape, calculator, calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Certifications: None
• Education/Experience: High school or equivalent. General experience in fabrication and welding inspection also preferred.
• Physical Demands: Manufacturing position; spends more than 2/3 of time standing, walking, and using hands. Spends app. 1/3 of time sitting and talking/hearing. Handles items weighing less than 5 lbs. 1/3 to 2/3 most of the time. Heavier lifting is performed with the use of overhead bridge or carry-deck cranes. Generally, requires good vision for reading prints & measurements, checking welding, etc.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
