Job Summary:
Griswold Home Care for North San Diego is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. This part-time, hourly position in the home care industry will serve the San Diego, California area. As a vital member of our team, the Caregiver will provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Assist with mobility and transportation, accompanying clients to appointments and outings.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of services provided and client progress.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment and foster strong relationships with clients and their families.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
- HCAa, CNAs, HHAs, preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check and health screening.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
