Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Drywaller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting and drywalling techniques and be proficient in using a variety of tools and equipment.

Duties:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting such as plastering, frame carpentry, and concrete finishing.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and renovations as needed.
  • Utilize power tools for sanding, scraping, and priming surfaces.
  • Welding tasks when necessary.
  • Caulk gaps and ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for painting.
  • Assist with fixture installation and other maintenance person duties.
  • Measure, mark, and cut drywall panels according to design plans.
  • Fasten panels and tiles to support structures.
  • Patch, trim, and smooth rough spots and edges.
  • Apply tape and sealing compound to cover joints between wallboards.
  • Add coats of sealing compound to create an even surface.
  • Sand all joints and holes for a smooth, seamless finish.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Painter with expertise in plastering, frame carpentry, and concrete finishing.
  • Proven experience as a Drywall Installer.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and equipment for drywalling and painting tasks.
  • Knowledge of airless paint spraying techniques.
  • Ability to weld when required.
  • Experience in caulking and preparing surfaces for painting.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Takes pride in work and has a sense of urgency. Assumes responsibility for all assigned work.
  • Able to work independently but also as a member of a larger team.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in painting and drywall.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Familiarity with fixture installation.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance person tasks.
  • Previous experience working in a Property Management setting a plus.
  • Previous experience working with Appfolio a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to twist, bend and scoop.
  • Ability to safely climb a ladder while carrying 20 pounds.
  • Ability to move safely in confined spaces.

Education:

  • A minimum of High School Diploma or GED required or Trade school equivalency
