Job Description:

  • Consult with existing and potential clients to assess and understand manufacturing needs and equipment requirements.
  • Coordinate and support efforts with engineering and technical sales team to meet proposal deadlines, satisfy customer requirements, and achieve sales and margin targets
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers. Become recognized as a credible source of information within the industry.
  • Prepare presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers. Develop detailed price quotations for specific projects.
  • Propose process and equipment improvements to customers and explain benefits of changes
  • Provide support to customers and help resolve problems with installed equipment after the sale. Ensure that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications
  • Collaborate with the internal teams to develop and implement the business plan for the North American building materials market
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering preferred. Relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu of engineering degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably in the building materials industry. Specific experience with either gypsum panels or plywood veneer manufacturers strongly preferred
  • Relevant experience in roles such as project management, technical support or similar
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with a proactive mindset and a desire to learn
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, including material handling, conveying, and drying
  • Complex, problem solving skills and ability to develop cost benefit analysis
  • Thorough understanding of business principles and practices
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level organization and time management skills
  • Proficient in MSOffice (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook). Familiarity with CRM and CAD tools
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of schedule
