Gregory, Meyer & Chapnick is a Troy-based insurance defense firm that has been providing legal expertise and counsel to regional and national insurance companies throughout the Midwest for over 40 years. We offer high quality legal services in a collegial and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have strong oral, research and writing skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of cases of all sizes and complexity and collaborate with experienced attorneys in a dynamic legal environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to ongoing cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions and briefs.
  • Assist in case preparation, including gathering evidence, interviewing clients and witnesses, taking depositions and attending court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience practicing law, preferably in areas such as civil and/or commercial litigation
  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
