The Custodian will perform a variety of janitorial, custodial, and/or security tasks to maintain clean and safe buildings.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service restrooms
• Sweep, vacuum and moper floors and stairways
• Dust blinds, furniture, file cabinets, windowsills and other fixtures
• Scrub, strip, sanitize, wax and buff floors using powered machines and equipment
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors and fixtures using both step and extensions ladders
• Shampoo carpet
• Ensure all safety procedures, practices and regulations are followed before, during and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities. 
• Remove trash from all buildings, placing it in the appropriate recycling/trash container
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months of experience in a similar role
• Ability to follow instructions
• Knowledge of proper use of chemicals
• Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools and equipment
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
• Previous GMP training (preferred not required)
