TITLE: Staff Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Finance
JOB TYPE: Full ‐ Time
REPORTS TO: Director of Advancement and Business Operations
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The major responsibilities of this position are to oversee the daily finance operations and financial aid.
QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The employee is a Christian with an authentic and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both their professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian education. Must be able to work independently, multi-task, deal with frequent interruptions, and nurture and maintain a positive relationship with staff. A high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality must be maintained when dealing with staff information. The ability to prioritize workload and meet specified deadlines is critical. Attention to detail and a preference for working in a time and task intensive environment are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Indoors 90% of the time; must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time while working with a PC, and must be able to move supplies, copier paper, up to 35 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment; generally quiet to mid-noise level; majority of work completed while seated at a desk using a computer monitor and keyboard, telephone, and various filing systems; daily interaction with employees. Small office may/may not have an exterior window. Interruptions are to be expected at times.
