MARKETING MANAGER
  • Middle School Science Teacher

  • Purpose:
    The Marketing Manager works with the leadership teams of all of the schools and business lines under the Greenwich Education Group, LLC (“GEG”) umbrella to develop and execute the marketing and enrollment plans and works to raise the visibility for GEG’s schools and educational services. The Marketing Manager also oversees internal and external communications on behalf of GEG, its schools, and other lines of business.
  • Responsibilities:
    The specific areas of the Marketing Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Develop strategic positioning statements and action plans to address emergent challenges for each line of business and GEG overall
  • Conduct periodic competitive assessments
  • Track marketplace changes in private education, including District policies on out-of-district placements
  • Prepare and track marketing plans and proposed budgets for each line of business
  • Develop and execute external marketing programs
  • Develop internal programs and events for student, family, and staff recognition
  • Communications
  • Provide writing and editing support for school and websites, newsletters, and other materials.
  • Maintain media relations and outreach, including coordinating and managing crisis communication.
  • Ensure that important events receive appropriate photo or video coverage through the use of either in-house personnel or outside freelancers.
Creative & Graphic Design
  • Designed and prepare digital and print advertising and marketing materials.
  • Oversee the brands’ various institutional identity programs and manage the brands in a cohesive fashion across all communication touch points.
  • Direct and oversee the work of outside freelancers and graphic designers.
Digital Marketing
  • Oversee website development and ongoing updates.
  • Maintain and track data and website analytics.
  • Maintain and inform content strategy and schedules for social media and digital marketing channels and other digital platforms.
  • Manage schools' social media calendars and track analytics.
  • Develop and implement strategic social media initiatives, including advertising campaigns and targeted marketing campaigns designed to raise brand awareness, increase the quality and quantity of website traffic, and encourage follow-through on calls to action.
  • Manage and optimize online presence, including social media and SEO.
Community Outreach
  • Oversee sponsorship and outreach activities for the schools.
  • Create events to bring new potential parents and referrers into the schools.
  • Develop partnerships to position our Heads of School and school leaders as thought leaders and speakers for outside organizations that align with our marketing and enrollment goals.
  • Participate in Community outreach and committee participation (including Stamford's Community Task Force, Greenwich Together, and other organizations as appropriate and approved by the GEG President).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, visual arts) or commensurate work-related experience
  • A minimum of years in a communications or marketing role and a strong writing/creative portfolio
  • Familiarity with the educational field, independent schools, and/or nonprofit work is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to produce and edit high-quality writing, photography, and videography (proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or other photo and video-editing software is preferred)
  • Experience working with a website Content Management System (CMS)
  • Flexibility to attend occasional school-related events and activities outside of the normal workday as needed
  • Possesses a team-player mentality with the instinct to pitch in and help others
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to write for web and print while ensuring high editorial standards, consistency, and brand/style adherence.
Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience and education.

Supervision and Evaluation:
The Marketing Manager reports directly to the President and Founder of GEG, who supervises and evaluates their role.
