GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the SSA - Student Affairs department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Coordinate, plan, organize, and supervise various educational, recreational, social and cultural student events; Coordinate student clubs and organizations and their sponsors in planning and organizing campus activities; Promote the creation of and development of new clubs and help identify potential club advisors among existing campus personnel. Also, provide resources/training for club advisors. Coordinate the development of marketing strategies to promote campus activities and services to maximize student involvement. Review and approve requests for equipment and supplies.

Coordinate accurate records of all student activities events (including event proposals, budgets, contracts, contacts, media publicity, and evaluations); Assist with maintaining accurate records of all programs that Greenville Technical College student organizations sponsor, co-sponsored, and/or participate in; forward upcoming event notices for publication in GTC4Me and "The Buzz"; Plan and coordinate an up-to-date calendar of events that are sponsored by Greenville Technical College's student activities/campus life events and make readily available to all Greenville Technical College students/college community.

Develops and monitors the Campus Life budget and the student government budget, and student club/organization budgets as well as review and approve club/organization activity requests and contracts. Maintain current listing of Student Clubs/ Organizations and host Student Organization Leadership Orientation for club/ organization leaders to maintain their recognized status. Manage, budget, effectively use allocated funds for Student Activities. Prepare annual budget for SA, and manage the SA p-card on a monthly basis which includes any purchasing requirements such as check requests, purchase orders and vendor contracts.

Coordinate, plan, organize the Veterans Lounges and Veteran Programs. Coordinate sponsors for Veteran campus activities; Promote the creation of and development of new veteran initiatives. Also, provide resources for veterans. Coordinate the development of marketing strategies to promote veterans and services to maximize student veteran involvement. Review requests for equipment and supplies for veteran lounges.

Perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred experience in Student Services or Higher Education. Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two (2) years relevant experience or associate's degree plus four (4) years relevant experience
