Greenspring Montessori School has been offering a Montessori education to students for over 60 years. Greenspring Montessori School is seeking a Floating Classroom Assistant for the 2024-25 school year to support Montessori classrooms for students ages 18 months through 14 years. The Floating Assistant supports a classroom when a staff member is absent and assists in our after-school program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare the classroom environment

• Help set up for nap and lunch
• Supervise recess
• Support dismissal
• Assist with cleaning

POSITION DETAILS

The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am- 5:00pm. This is a full-time position during the academic year (mid-August through mid- June). Summer opportunities are also available. Hourly pay rate is $17.00.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Pass a background check
• Have previous experience with children (1 year)

Preferred:

• College level degree

Authorization to work in the United States is a pre-condition of employment at Greenspring Montessori School.
