Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and execution in support of strategic initiatives for the fund and its investments/developments
  • Calculating fund level key performance metrics (i.e., IRRs) and go-forward performance analysis
  • Responsible for analytics around balance sheet, capital structure, and liquidity management
  • Review and forecast monthly cash flow distributions for individual investments.
  • Oversee creation of internal presentations and reports (e.g., quarterly updates, strategy sessions, asset reviews, etc.)
  • Attend and coordinate leasing calls with brokers and joint venture partners. Deliver financial analysis and recommendations on lease proposals assisting the asset management team
  • Utilize BentallGreenOak network of regional brokers to maintain relevant leasing comparables, sales comparables, and availabilities as support for investment activities
  • Assist with the investor reporting processes with Asset Management, Finance, and Development
  • Work with third party vendors, and the internal asset management, research, and acquisitions teams to prepare and analyze quarterly property and debt valuations
  • Compile and analyze investment budgets and business plans with the asset management team
  • Utilize Argus software to analyze value impact of leasing and capital decisions, review appraisals, and assist in acquisition/disposition decisions
  • Develop hold/sell analyses to help inform investment strategy for owned investments
  • Preparation of numerous ad hoc client investment reports and materials for fund-raising and investor meetings
  • Work closely with data science team on cold storage research, insights and analysis
  • Support senior management on key investment and platform decisions

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong GPA. Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics preferred
  • 2 years of experience of Real Estate asset management, research, portfolio accounting or valuation analysis
  • Advanced excel skill required. Data and geospatial analytics experience preferred (Tableau, ArcGIS, ESRI, etc.)
  • Experience with development projects preferred
