Job Posting Name: Armed Flex Schedule Security Officer

In and Around Austin 

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Armed Guards to join our team for part time and flex guard positions in and around Austin. We have a part-time schedule that facilitates flexible hours based on the client’s total time requested, which are generally 12-hour shifts for AM/PM opportunities. 

As a Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients. Your primary duty will be to protect property, assets, and individuals from potential threats, as well as maintain proper access control and perimeter security through patrolled operations. I

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of alertness and awareness at all times.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Monitor the entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Maintain records of activities and incidents.
  • Carry out searches of personnel, vehicles, and buildings as necessary.
  • Check in hourly or as requested via guard reporting software.
  • Respond to digital office alerts regarding staffing and HR changes through the companies enterprise applications.

Security Officer Skills:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard card
• Must be able to stand for 6 hours.
• Must be able to lift to 25lbs.
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent sense of judgment
• Can stay alert at all times

Responsibilities

• Security officer may be asked to coordinate with offsite management or security operations centers upon arrival, incident, or departure of assigned locations. 

 Preferred Qualification and Education:

• 1 year previous security experience

 Work authorization/security clearance requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US. 
• Must be English Fluent
• Must have valid Drivers License and means to commute

Physical Demands/Work Environment 

Be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 6-8 hours.
