Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the orthodontist in various procedures. If you have a passion for dentistry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Spanish speaking strongly encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Take dental x-rays and other medical imaging as directed by the orthodontist
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment
- Assist billing processes
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans
- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, including adjusting braces and placing bands.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience ****Willing to train the right candidate******
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and orthodontic procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
