Greenleaf Compassion Center is Hiring a Cultivation Technician Near Warwick, RI

Cultivation Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a Cultivation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with plants. This position involves assisting in various tasks related to growing, harvesting, and trimming cannabis.

Primary Responsibilities

-Demonstrate ability to communicate & work with team members on a daily basis

-Assist in defoliating, harvesting, pruning & trimming

-Support operations including monitoring plant health & growth

-Utilize hand tools for various gardening activities

SKILLS:

-Basic math skills for measurements & calculations

-Experience in monitoring different stages of plant growth

-Interest in plant growth and cultivation

-Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be 21 or Older

2. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining the integrity of the product

3. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)

4. May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending, over and/or crouching

5. Moderate to loud exposure to noise level

7. Must wear scrubs, provided hair/beard nets, gloves as needed

8. Capacity to stay focused on the task at hand

9. Warehouse environment

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent education

-previous experience working in a post harvest or trimming role in the cannabis industry is preferred

-Deep understanding of cannabis genetics, strains, and the flowering process

-Familiarity with cannabis cultivation techniques, post-harvest best practices, and drying/curing methods

-ability to to work in fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines

-Deep understanding of state regulations regarding the cultivation, processing & handling of cannabis

-Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

-Reliable transportation to and from the workplace

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
