Job summary: The Quality Specialist is responsible for assuring that Greene, Tweed products meet the standards that we, customers, the industry, and third party entities define for them. Responsibilities include support of Quality Processes and Systems to analyze product limitations and standards, assisting with generation of work instructions and procedures to comply with various requirements. Support the implementation and maintenance of the ISO & SPC programs, and review of customer requirements and ability to interpret and maintain the associated databases. Specific Responsibility: 1. Support or lead all relevant quality activities associated with manufacturing and inspection processes, procedures, and inspection requirements. Identify needs and training gaps within GTC manufacturing or quality processes and provide training when requested. 2. Support, with assistance from the QA Team Lead, the Internal Audit Program by ensuring effective internal audits are being performed, participating and leading audits when requested, and following up on post-audit activities such as reports, CAR’s, etc. 3. Support, or lead when requested, Lean and Six Sigma project activities by participating on teams, collecting and analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring quality and process related documentation is updated 4. Document, maintain, and use electronic data systems such as E-IPC, Infinity QS, SAP queries, and FAIR quality documentation to ensure accurate information transfer and retrieval. 5. Interpret customer and GTC drawings, specifications, and identify necessary key characteristics for inspection. Work with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure appropriate information is collected in an efficient, accurate, user-friendly format to satisfy internal and customer requirements 6. Support or lead tracking of in-process product problems, production performance issues, scrap and other metrics in the production manufacturing areas as required for trend analysis and for continual improvement program support. 7. Serve as a strong subject matter resource and plant representative on teams in support of activities affecting quality of processes or products 8. When requested, participate in customer delegation programs and attain customer delegation approval where needed. Participate in customer audits and visits when requested. 9. May calibrate tools/facilitate calibration services. Required Minimum Qualifications: Education: HS Diploma, degree preferred Skills and Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with quality auditing experience. Knowledge of inspection procedures, techniques, specifications & drawings desired. Good communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally required. Understanding of LSS tools & manufacturing fundamentals a plus. ISO/AS Quality Management System experience preferred. GD&T, CMI and/or ASQ experience a plus.
