Summary:

The Educator role is a team position that will drive GAF to new heights. 

At Greenacres, we are lifelong learners who believe in the holistic management of grass-grazed livestock, intensive generative gardening, and a focus on improving the health of the soil without the use of synthetic fertilizers. Generative Agriculture is foundational to Greenacres mission and serves as the basis for all land management decisions. Our Arts, Agriculture, Equine and Environment Education departments utilize and support generative agriculture and its positive impact on our natural areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Horticulture, Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, Animal Science, Agriculture Education, Biologic Science, Natural History or related field
• Demonstrated teaching skills and a passion for working with youth using hands-on activities in small-group settings
• Preferred teaching experience, in K-8 in a traditional or non-traditional setting 
• Previous involvement with holistic management farm practices is preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to working within a functional team and collaborative culture
• Travel to all current and future educational sites is required. Sites currently include Indian Hill, OH, Lewis Township, OH and Oldenburg, IN.
• Ability to successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test and fingerprint FBI background screen
• Desire to live a life of service to others by providing hands-on educational experiences focused on Agriculture
• Ability to work with both internal and external partners with the same or very different backgrounds to ensure all who visit Greenacres get the highest quality experience that addresses their needs
• Ability to work with a team of dedicated educators to assure QQQ, Grace, Green, Giving, Generative and Good Neighbor Policy
• Other duties/projects as assigned
