Job Summary:

We are seeking a versatile WordPress Developer/Designer to joinour Marketing and Communications team in refreshing Green Seal’s brand presence. This is a project-based contract position with an estimated duration of four months, and the possibility of extension for ongoing support if mutually desired.  The target hourly rate range is between $65 - $80 per hour.

In this role, you’ll own the backend development of Green Seal’s website and be responsible for integrating new brand guidelines into the design of a custom WordPress site, working closely with internal creative/design teams to bring ideas/concepts to life and execute them for digital/mobile and responsive design. This is a hands-on role and a unique opportunity to be at the center of a dynamic, mission-driven organization that is a national environmental leader.

What You’ll Do:

• Rebuild and launch an updated Green Seal website mainly using a suite of pre-designed page and module templates,along with select new templates you will design where needed
• Improve the user experience both aesthetically and practically while preserving brand identity, and elevating our online platform by optimizing the functionality of our website
• Support and provide training to staff on new WordPress tools and features
• ​Incorporate strong design, B2B digital marketing best practices, and marketing technology expertise into development project
• Provide quality assurance

Education, Experience, & Credentials

• 4-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 4-5 yeas of relevant work experience  
• Proficiency in front- and back-end development with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, responsive and mobile-first design 
• Experience developing WordPress sites 
• Ability to manage all aspects of development 
• Experience with technical search engine optimization to enhance website performance 
• Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager 
• Experience with custom B2B website development/design and marketing and sales services a plus 
• Portfolio of work that demonstrates the above skill sets
