Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Produce Manager to join our team. As a Produce Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our produce department, ensuring the highest quality of products and exceptional customer service. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure that all produce is properly priced and labeled
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock
- Train and supervise produce clerks, providing guidance and support as needed
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and quality control
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper rotation of products
- Collaborate with other department managers to optimize overall store operations
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints

Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and department operations
- Proficiency in using POS systems for sales transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of produce varieties, seasonality, and proper handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate pricing calculations and inventory tracking
- Previous experience as an assistant manager or in a similar leadership role is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
