Hello. We are looking for a couple of team players who have a smog license and are not afraid to use it..

We are Green Phoenix Automotive located in South Salinas. Multiple times, we have been awarded industry's recognition for being Best Smog shop in the County, and Repair Shop as well. We are looking for two team members who have the knowledge and experience to carry our work ethic and reputation forward. This is a long term and stable position.

Work typically includes Diagnosis and repair for Check engine lights, Smog Failures, Electrical concerns such as window not going up, or strange noises and other drivability concerns. You need to be able to comfortably diagnose and repair vehicles.

Our pay structure is straight forward. Pay range for a licensed smog tech is from $30.00 per hour to $45.00 per hour depending on your ability to diagnose and produce results. Pay rate for an experienced diagnostic tech without a smog license is from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on your ability to diagnose and produce results.

We have a full training program to keep you well informed and educated. All of our training is at no cost to you and Free to you. If you do not know how to program computers and modules, it is ok. We have someone for that already. Also, if you are a great diagnostic tech, but don't have a smog license than we can help too. We will pay for the training and tests and when you get a smog license, your pay will increase and we will even give you a long term contract.
