Green Light Solar is Hiring a Solar PV Installer Near Denver, CO

Green Light Solar partners with sales organizations big and small, national and local, to bring the best quality installations you will find across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Colorado

The Solar PV Installer will assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential roofs, at times commercial facilities, in compliance with site assessment and engineering schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work to validate installation process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload job components for daily projects.
  • Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Survey locations for new installations & record data, take pictures, evaluate for installation. Input data into online system.
  • Determine appropriate sizes, ratings, and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge suppression equipment.
  • Assemble solar modules, panels, or support structures, as specified.
  • Program, adjust, or configure inverters and controls for desired set points and operating modes.
  • Identify installation locations with proper orientation, area, solar access, or structural integrity for photovoltaic (PV) arrays.
  • Activate photovoltaic (PV) systems to verify system functionality and conformity to performance expectations.
  • Demonstrate system functionality and performance, including start-up, shut-down, normal operation, and emergency or bypass operations.
  • Complete job-related paperwork and submit in an orderly timely manner to appropriate individual.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of hand-held power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience in PV installations, roof work, general construction, or carpentry preferred.
  • Basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems preferred.
  • Comfortable standing and working on rooftops.
  • Solar experience preferred but not required.
  • Maintain standards of Safety, Quality and Production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
