Responsibilities
- Identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns and provide diagnoses
- Create individualized treatment plans for each client
- Prescribe psychotherapeutic medication and adjust prescription according to patients response
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan, including all medication information
- Consult with primary care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care is provided
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest professional developments and research
- Degree as a registered nurse (RN) is required
- Two-year associate degree in nursing, a three-year hospital-based nursing diploma or four-year bachelor's degree
- Current medical license and certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Deep knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
- Excellent observational and assessment skills
