Residential PV Installer:

We are adding Installers (w-2) to our solar installation team located in Southeastern PA. There is no overnight travel requirement, but our installation teams do cover a large geographical area (sometimes up to 2 hour commutes to an install) and we do pay travel time to all job sites.

Deliverables:

Arrive at the material pick-up on time.

Review plans, QC materials and pull stock as needed.

Arrive at the job site on time.

Meet with homeowner to confirm installation details for the day.

Install structural support in attic if required by engineer’s letter (knowledge of framing is a plus).

Determine installation layout on rooftop to ensure design is accurate.

Install in a skillful manner all required components including flashing, roofing attachments, racking, module-level power electronics, junction boxes, PV wiring & modules.

Document installation with photographs utilizing phone app.

Commission system and troubleshoot any rooftop issues if needed.

Collect all trash & cardboard associated with install.

Confirm all photos are clear and complete.

Complete documentation with homeowner and ensure satisfaction.

Arrange inspections as required.

Coordinate with team members on plan for the following day.

Leave the job site before 4pm to ensure you are well rested for the following day.

Requirements:

Construction-related experience in solar, roofing, framing/carpentry, or electrical work.

Working knowledge of ladders, fall arrest gear, hand tools and able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Self-starter: while you will be taught nearly everything you will need to be successful, there will be occasions which require you to improvise from the original plan.

Soft skills: you will be dealing with new customers/homeowners every day – must have decent manners, decent hygiene & your clothes are not wrinkled.

Team skills: eager to collaborate, speak respectfully to all team members & partners, work hard.

OSHA 10 certification

NABCEP certification or interest in obtaining certification (we encourage and will reimburse tuition/program fee)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
