Dishwasher

Greek Restaurant is a small, local, family owned and operated restaurant located in Jericho, NY. We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our team and help maintain our restaurant’s cleanliness and order.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 25-30 pounds and stand for up to 10 hours
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and work as a team member
• Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test
• Food Handlers Card is required

Responsibilities:

• Clean, stock and maintain the dish machine area, fryers, oven, cooler, ice machine, and all other equipment used in preparation and service of food. Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the restaurant’s menu.
• Clean all prep areas including but not limited to walk-in coolers, freezers, fryers, fryer hoods, and dishwashing stations.
• Ensure that all dishes are properly cleaned following the restaurant’s sanitation standards.
• Ensure that all kitchen utensils are properly stocked. Remove stock from the kitchen when not in use. Store all back stock in the kitchen. Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces. Keep the workstations clean and organized at all times. Report any maintenance issues or repairs to the manager or chef.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
