If you want to join an industry-leading company that focuses on your professional growth and development, we’d love to hear from you!Our CMM/Layout Operator coordinates and performs layout operations of castings, tooling, fixtures, and gauges of various sizes, shapes, and complexities. This position compares layout results to blueprint specifications, records findings, and presents results to ensure dimensional accuracy using established safety practices. You'll analyze data and make recommendations on tooling corrections or adjustments. The Layout/Laser Scanner role serves as a vital link between Foundry Engineering and software designers/vendors on projects. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in and train department members in layout program upgrades related to Geomagic and Virtual Dmis systems.
What You'll Do:
Design specific fixtures or gauges and coordinate their construction with the Pattern Shop
Perform product assessment on critical casting dimensions to ensure compliance to print specifications
Perform tool wear review to determine wear characteristics on patterns and core boxes
Plan, implement, and check statistical components on cores, pattern and core box tooling, target fixtures, and gauges as directed
Maintain existing layout programs for Geomagic and Virtual DMIS systems and develop new layout computer programs on suitable platforms
Develop, test, evaluate, and implement programs and program changes for CMM and scanner to layout items
Inspect, lubricate, clean, and store layout equipment to guarantee accuracy
Notify supervisor of quality, safety, or personal problems that need corrective measures within the scope of this position
Take necessary actions to minimize delay time and increase production

What We Need from You:
Highschool diploma required
Ability to operate portage manual CMM machine and perform scans with Laser Scanners
Computer and Blueprint interpretation is essential
