Your Impact:The Fitness Director position is a high-profile leadership position that is responsible for helping the Executive Director with the overall direction, coordination, operation, and success of the Department. What You'll Do:Own your department’s overall business to drive efficiency and grow members served (sales).Provide member services in personal training, small group training, and wellness evaluations.Directly delivers as well as leads teams that also deliver the following:Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive member fitness programs that drive member goal achievement and retentionMonitors and instructs members during informal floor observations and formal personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training equipmentConducts fitness consultations for new members including pre-participation consults, goal questionnaire, and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training and other fitness programsProvides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate membersFulfills member service requirements such as fitness assessments and equipment operations, service desk duties and fitness equipment cleaningPromotes and sells personal training programs and servicesCompletes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness planRemains current on certifications and new trends in the industryEnsures all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complementary and based services/programmingRemains current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels programWhat Qualifications You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in recreation, exercise science, human services, or equivalent experience Experience as a supervisor and staff development is strongly preferred Current Personal Training certification preferred, or acquired within 90 days of employment Scout talent, interviews and trains new instructors and personal trainers (assisting with their certification process, new procedures, policies, programs and services.
