Job Title : After-School Counselor (Asst. Teacher)
Status : part time
Hours : M-F 3 : 00-6pm, 2 : 15-6pm on Thursday
Wage : $14.45-15.83 / hr dep. on experience
Probation : Subject to a 12 month introductory (probationary) period
UM Students : The Missoula Y is an approved work-study employer for work-study aid
POSITION SUMMARY : The Missoula Family Y is hiring after school counselors! If you are friendly, creative and reliable, and want to make a difference in kids' lives this could be a great fit for you.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 3-6pm, 2 : 15-6pm on Thursday, preferably at least three (3) shifts per week.The After School Counselor is enthusiastic and creates a safe, fun environment for children ages 5 years through 12 and will teach and model YMCA character values and sportsmanship.
Applicants must like working with children, be self-motivated, good communicators. They must be able to thrive in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization and work with general supervision.

Requirements
- Required - Must have current CPR and First Aid certificates or obtain them within first 60 days of employment
- Preferred - High School diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience
- Required - Evidence of current tetanus shot and current MMR
- Preferred - Experience with working with children
- Prefered- Valid MT driver's license with insurable drivers record - required to drive Y vehicles
