The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), located in Cleveland, Ohio, is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Technician for a challenging role in the Information Technology Department.
Detailed DescriptionDuties:
Cybersecurity Technician is responsible for identifying security threats and works to safeguard information systems, devices and information. Develops and manages updated incident response plans. Identifies and resolves vulnerabilities within systems, firewalls, and cloud applications. Provides training for end users on security standards, trends, and emerging threats. Helps implement system wide protocols. Participates on various projects teams to ensure security practices are incorporated and followed. Works with Security Engineer to identify and incorporate programs to protect the authority.
Job RequirementsMinimum Requirements:
Associates degree in information technology, Computer Science or similar field. Applicant must have at least three (3) years work experience in cybersecurity or related area of information technology. In lieu of an Associates degree, six (6) years of work experience in cybersecurity or related area of information technology can be considered.
Knowledge of network security, penetration testing and correcting security flaws
Identifying vulnerabilities and creating solutions to safeguard information
Creating and implementing incident response plans
Understanding of DNS, TCPIP, Active Directory, SSL, Encryption and Certificates, and other Networking.
Experience utilizing Defender, Defender ATP, Windows patching (MECM), Intune, or other device management is preferred
Utilization of SQL querying and Microsoft excel
