Job Title: Marketing Intern/Part-Time

Reports To: Director, Destination Marketing

Schedule: 15 hours per week, $15-$17 per hour

Job Location: 525 Vine Street, downtown (across from Fountain Square), reimbursement for parking included

At Visit Cincy, it’s our job to promote our great destination. With revitalization and energy throughout our area we’re pleased show off our city. We are seeking a part-time intern interested in the hospitality industry who will assist our busy marketing department. It’s a great opportunity for student employment as the work hours are flexible and can be tailored to a class schedule.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with all marketing department activities and support efforts to improve Visit Cincy’s website.
• Support the department’s asset management software by uploading new images, providing appropriate tags and meta data, and help keep Visit Cincy’s photo library up-to-date.
• Assist Visit Cincy’s event marketing efforts by adding new events to our calendar, writing descriptions, seeking out images and assist in uploading to www.visitcincy.com.
• Help populate new business listings to the website.
• Assist with database clean up by reconciling duplicate contacts and accounts.
• Assist with research and updates to ensure accuracy and relevance of VisitCincy.com content pages.
• Compile and organize informational materials, ensuring accuracy, neatness, and timely completion, to support Visit Cincy’s education sessions and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Software.
• Experience using photo editing software such as Canva or Photoshop. Graphic design skills a plus.
• Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS) is a plus
• Ability to talk and listen using the telephone, excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Previous experience in an office environment preferred.
