Greater Chicago Specialty Physicians is Hiring a Certified Medical Assistant Near Frankfort Township, IL
- Obtain vital signs and update medical histories within EMR.
- Prepare blood draws and lab tests, as needed.
- Transmit prescription refills as directed by the physician.
- Insurance verification and prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and injections.
- Reconciliation of results.
- Document scanning and fax management.
- Timely return of patient calls.
- Understanding and complying with HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean exam rooms and exam room inventory.
- Maintaining clinical supplies inventory.
- Front desk responsibilities
- Medical Assistant Degree with certification
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Proficient in computer applications/EMR.
- Must have excellent customer service, a team player, dependable, phone etiquette, multitask, organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent work ethics and professionalism.
